Application

All applications to our master's programmes are made through the national website universityadmissions.se. For international students the applications opens 16 October 2017 and can be made until 15 January 2018. ( For national and EU/EEA students, applications can be made from 15 March 2018 until 16 April 2018. Please click here for more information.)

Please observe, students from countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland are required to pay both an application fee and a tuition fee.

Admission

For the first application round you will around 6 April 2018 receive a notification from universityadmissions.se regarding your admission. No reply to universityadmissions.se is necessary for this notification. The students that are admitted will after the 6 April recieve an email from the Department of Sociology with more information. Please note, the email from the department contains very important information for the admitted students if you want to keep your admission to one of our master's programmes.

Students on waiting list will be contacted by email if we have places left.

Register for the course

If you have confirmed to the Department of Sociology that you're coming (please see instruction in the email that we will send you after 6 April) you need to register before you can start the programme. To be able to register you , you need to come to the Department no later than 3 September 2018 (preferably in week 34-35). If you are conditionally admitted we need to see transcripts confirming your eligibility before registration. Please note that if you need to pay tution fee - that need to be paid before registration.

Mondo - our communication platform

Mondo is a tool for communication between students and teachers.
Use your university account to log in. Mondo is Stockholm University's common collaboration and learning environment where you communicate with teachers and fellow students, collect and submit course assignments, receive links and course information and messages. The tag for your course is either in the upper line or can be found under ’My active sites’.
