Themes include the development and determinants of economic growth, unemployment and earnings distributions in different countries, work-life inequality by class, gender and ethnicity, and the impact of globalization on national labour markets. The course is divided into one micro-level (individuals) and one macro-level (societies) part. Links between analytical levels, and between theoretical models and empirical analyses, are emphasized throughout.
